Friday Night Austin/San Antonio Round Up

2013 PG Shane Lacaille of Liberty Hill (above) was high stat man in the City last night as he dropped 35 on Georgetown Eastview.  His Wildcats blasted the new Georgetown Eastview school 90-46.

2014 G Brian Long had 20 points for the young Roos who are growing up before our very eyes.

Austin Westlake 64  Converse Wagner  57

After coming out on top against Wagner in a barn burner last week at home in the Westlake Holiday Classic, the Chaps figured to have their hands full on the road.  They got Senior leadership from R.J. Rowan (17) and Post Drew Wikelius (16) to beat the T Birds in their house.  Senior G Andrew Delgado had the hot hand for Wagner with 20.

Georgetown 61  Round Rock Stony Point 33

Senior Michael Hardge had 19 and 2013 G Jacob Vick added 15 as the Eagles soared.

Elgin 66  Hutto 35

2013 Trey Nash had 27 points as Elgin continues with it’s stellar season.  Elgin is now 22-2.

Austin Anderson 58  San Marcos 39

Anderson has done what few others have.  They shut down San Marcos Senior duo of Hart and Austin.  2012 G Hayden Graham  led with 19 (Air Force) and emerging 2013 G Rasmus Bach added 16 in the impressive win.

Austin Bowie 45  San Antonio Johnson 37

2012 G Paul Baxter was the lead Bulldog, scoring 18 in the win on the road.  2013 G Luke Wilshire had 11 for Johnson in the loss. Bowie is 15-5 overall.

Round Rock 34  Leander 33

The Rock held off a late Leander rally for the win. Nobody reached double figues although the Dragons were led by 2013 P 6’10” Leonard Allen with 9.

Converse Judson 61  San Antonio Highlands  26

Wow.  Talk about lockdown D. The Rockets throttled Highlands behind 2014 F Tanner Leisner’s 16 points.

Boerne 78 Bandera 43

2013 G Griffin McHone led the Greyhounds with 22 points and 8 assists.

Alamo Heights 48  New braunfels Canyon  41

Alamo Heights were led by 2012 F Jeffrey Rodewald as he dropped 20 points and was relentless in attacking Canyon.  These are two of the area’s biggest teams and likely 4A playoff opponents down the road as well.

San Antonio Brandeis 51 San Antonio Jay 34

2013 G Matt Kallead led the Broncs with 16 points.

San Antonio Churchill 64  San Antonio MacArthur 40

A deep Churchill team had three scorers in double figures as they dominated Churchill.  The best player on the floor  last night was MacArthur’s  2012 G Matt Gramling (Army) who had 19 points for his outgunned squad.

San Antonio Clark 53  San Antonio O’Connor  42

2012 G Adam Perez had 22 points as “steady as a rock” Clark , one of the area’s best defensive teams took care of business.  2013 G Dapo Ogunfeitimi led O’Connor with 16.

San Antonio Warren 67  San Antonio Marshall 48

2012 F Taurean Waller Prince (Long Island) had 21 points for the Warriors.

San Antonio Stevens 52  San Antonio Taft 51

Stevens used a 4th quarter rally to beat Taft as Seniors Marcus Roper (14) and Southern Methodist University commit Uche Ofoegbu (13) led the way.
